ADDENDUM: PAID MARKETING & VERIFICATION SERVICES

This Paid Service Addendum (the “Addendum”) supplements the Greenopia General Terms of Service and applies to any business entity (“Partner”) that elects to subscribe to a paid marketing tier, premium listing, or verification service (collectively, the “Paid Services”).

1. The Greenopia Verification Standard

Unlike traditional advertising, a Paid Service on Greenopia is a "Verified Status" subscription.

  • Verification Contingency: Partner acknowledges that paid status does not guarantee the "Greenopia Verified" seal. The seal is only granted upon successful completion of Greenopia’s proprietary sustainability assessment.

  • Ongoing Compliance: Partner must maintain the sustainability standards disclosed during the initial assessment. Greenopia reserves the right to re-evaluate or audit a Partner’s practices at any time.

  • Revocation for Cause: If a Partner significantly alters its business practices in a way that violates Greenopia’s sustainability pillars (e.g., environmental degradation, unethical labor, or substantiated greenwashing), Greenopia may revoke the "Verified" status immediately. No refunds will be issued for the remaining billing cycle in the event of a revocation for cause.

2. Subscription Billing & Automatic Renewal

  • Billing Cycle: Paid Services are billed in advance on a recurring basis (e.g., Monthly or Annually) as selected during the checkout process.

  • Delayed Start / Trial Periods: If a subscription is initiated with a trial period or a scheduled start date (as indicated on the Stripe Checkout page), the Partner’s payment method will be authorized today, but the first charge will occur automatically on the "Subscription Start Date."

  • Automatic Renewal: To ensure uninterrupted visibility, all subscriptions renew automatically. Your credit card on file will be charged at the beginning of each new billing period unless the subscription is cancelled.

3. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellation: Partners may cancel their subscription at any time through the Greenopia Partner Portal or by contacting support. To avoid being charged for the next cycle, cancellation must be processed at least 48 hours prior to the renewal date.

  • No Pro-Rated Refunds: Upon cancellation, the Partner will retain access to Paid Service features (including the Verified Seal) until the end of the current paid billing period. Greenopia does not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months or years of service.

4. Intellectual Property & The "Verified Seal"

  • Licensed Use: Active, verified Partners are granted a limited, non-transferable license to display the "Greenopia Verified" seal on their website, social media, and physical storefronts.

  • Post-Cancellation: Upon termination or expiration of a Paid Service, the Partner must remove all Greenopia branding and the "Verified" seal from all digital and physical assets within thirty (30) days.

5. Data & Insights

By subscribing to Paid Services, Partner grants Greenopia the right to use anonymized data regarding the Partner’s listing performance (clicks, views, conversions) to improve the Greenopia platform and provide collective insights to our community of conscious consumers.

How to use this:

  1. On your Website: Create a page at greenopia.com/paid-terms and paste the text above.

  2. In Stripe: In the "Public Details" section we found earlier, link your "Terms of Service" to your main terms, but you can also use the "Custom Text" field on your Payment Link to say: "By subscribing, you also agree to our ."

  3. For Current Free Users: When you "invite" a free business to upgrade, you can include this PDF or link in the email so they know the "rules of the game" for paying partners.
