IHeart Radio Interview
As Founder and CEO of Greenopia, my mission has been to provide easy access to eco-friendly businesses and products. Borne out of my own health challenges as an asthma sufferer and mother of a child misdiagnosed with autism. Greenopia was launched on Earth Day in 2005 as a print-city guide for Los Angeles. In the next eight years, it grew to an online resource of over 100,000 sustainable, healthful and eco-friendly businesses in 700 cities nationwide. Greenopia is your personal sustainability assistant, helping you navigate the overwhelming landscape of sustainability and healthy choices to find carefully assessed local businesses and products that are healthy for you and the planet. As an environmental advocate, I have served on various women’s and environmental boards, including Waterkeeper Alliance, Women for Women, Los Angeles Women’s Foundation, Kiss the Ground, PS Arts and Friends Of Heritage Preservation, and St. Andrew’s School. The driving force behind my passion continues to be helping people lead healthier lives in an increasingly toxic world. My first book, Living With A Green Heart was published in 2019, and focused on educating and helping environmentally conscious individuals, find businesses and products that align with their environmental values, with the elective ability to quantify how their daily habits affect themselves and the planet. I am interested in connecting with like-minded individuals who are of like-mindedness in the sectors of health, technology, and finance. When not working or writing, you can find me walking somewhere out in nature, practicing yoga, playing pickle ball, visiting the nearest art museum, and spending time with family and good friends.
