Our furniture business does our best to build and promote green. I lead a green action group at my job at a financial services company. We got rid of the paper cups, improved the recycling program, write bi-monthly eco-awareness communications that go out nationwide to our employees and created a benchmark for similar groups at 14 locations in the US. I like hiking, surfing and yoga.

How did Scout come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
Recycling and using less has always just made sense to me. I just love being outside in the mountains and in the ocean and don't want to have to stop. Our furniture business (and my job at a multi-national corporation) really made me think about the individual and business impact in the environment on a bigger scale. Having a child took it up a notch too.
