Shopping for a back to school (or work) wardrobe can be more stressful than actually getting back into the classroom (or office). Sizes, styles, prices – it’s enough to make you want to wear jeans and t-shirts for the rest of your life. Saving a bundle on sustainable fashions isn’t an oxymoron, you just have to know when and where to shop.

Here, we outline oodles of eco-fashion online stores and some of the great deals they currently have to offer for men, women and children:

+ Adili.com – based in the UK, they offer up to 75% off select styles for women and men and kids. Sales are arranged by size, so shopping is a breeze. Kids clothing is also available, though none of it is marked down at the moment. (Eco-note: if you live on the East Coast, shipping from the UK is about equivalent to shipping from California, so you won't go over your carbon budget, but if you live on the West Coast, clothes from the UK are coming from half the world away and you may want to consider closer vendors.)

+ Beklina.com – discounts galore and free shipping make this a perfect destination for style-savvy ladies. Brands available include Stewart+Brown, Linda Loudermilk, Edun, Myth and Ritual, Nicole Bridger and more!

+ Bohmo.com – t-shirts, hoodies, dresses and tunics are on sale for men, women and children at this small boutique, which also offers free shipping on order over $100.

+ BTCElements.com – 7 pages of discount ladies goods are available; everything from hoodies and wrap dresses to jackets and jeans.

+ CocosShoppe.com – 40 to 75% off on ladies wear, including accessories and undergarments

+ EarthGirlsBoutique.com – another outlet for women’s eco-fashion, including organic denim and dresses

+ ShopEnvi.com – this Boston-based shop is holding a huge “end of summer” sale, featuring up to 60% off on over 100 pieces of women’s eco-fashion (not to mention their $5 flat rate shipping)

+ ShopEquita.com – visit the “sale” section for men’s and women’s markdowns

+ Fashion-Conscience.com – this UK site is the place for high-end green brands, including deep discounts in their “sale” section

+ TheGreenloop.com – there is always a hearty selection of men’s and women’s goods in this clearance section. A few items for young kids are also still available.

+ ShopGreenRohini.com – EVERY item on their website is discounted, as part of their “huge summer sale”; don’t miss it!

+ MyGreenCloset.com – currently running a “back to school” sale, featuring 20% of all boys and girls organic cotton clothing

+ NotJustPretty.com – 75 women’s items on sale; dresses, denim, tanks, jewelry, lingerie – you name it.

+ ShopModify.com – 9 pages of discounted green women’s apparel; free shipping on orders over $100; and 15% off your entire purchase as part of their summer sale – that’s a win/win/win!

+ Sodafine.com – New York cool at affordable eco-prices for ladies. You’ll find unique, stylish items here that aren’t available on any other website.
