Honor Roll: The only significant green initiative we could find for Howard University was that it has a few buildings presently seeking LEED. Held After Class: Not only does Howard not have any usable environmental reporting, it isn’t doing anything in the majority of our criteria. Howard’s recycling program is unimpressive, the school is not actively planning for climate change, it offers little in the way of green food options, and has yet to do anything to decrease the impact of its vehicle fleet. This lack of action is unacceptable. Green Grade: Howard University needs to get its head in the game. As of now it was one of our lowest scoring schools. |
