Green Efforts: Santa Cruz Organic Sodas are made with USDA certified ingredients which are better for the environment and safe to consume. Santa Cruz Organic Soda also uses 100% renewable energy when producing its beverages and has an efficient production system. One other noteworthy thing about Santa Cruz Organic Soda is that is sources some of its ingredients locally, greatly reducing the transportation impacts of its supply chain. Green Issues: As always, it would be nice to see a more detailed sustainability report showcasing some of the specific resource usage per product produced. The only other issue we have is the lack of innovation in a container. The bottles account of a significant part of the product’s impact and we would love to see this addressed. Ingredient Analysis: There are no ingredients of concern in Santa Cruz Organic Sodas. Also, since the ingredients are organic, you don’t even have to worry about pesticides or any other hazardous chemicals coming in contact with the soda’s components. Greenopia Verdict: Santa Cruz Organic Sodas earns a 4 leaf score this year and is one of the greenest beverages in the marketplace today. |
