About greenbean:
greenbean's interests, passions, hobbies and favorite activities, etc.
I led a volunteer green team at a large corporation and initiated many projects to green our employee culture. We increased recycling participation by 50% with improved signage, collected 400 lbs of used batteries, reduced disposable cup use with re-usable cup promos, planted trees, reduced after-hour HVAC and lighting use, reduced paper towel use by 50% with an amusing conservation message, improved vegetarian and organic options from food vendors, increased awareness with eco films and brown bag events as well as other projects.

Journey Into Green:
How did greenbean come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
Growing up, I have always had an interest in the environment. Though, 9/11 was a big wake-up call regarding our oil consumption. I began researching the impact of many other arenas of consumption and became fascinated with environmentally sound solutions regarding food choices and agricultural methods, building practices, health care options, monetary systems, energy sources, transportation and retail realities.
