I am a mother of four plus a stepson. I sell Shaklee I enjoy reading, gardening, horseback riding, cross stitching, and traveling. I am in the process of trying to learn more about composting. My family has reduced it trash to almost completely being recyclable and none going to the landfills. I have implemented buying locally and even purchase meat from a local farm. I have completely converted my traveling to train to and from work. I am also looking into purchasing rain barrels to offset my use of water for my plants. If I could find a way to sterilize the water we trap in these rainbarrels I would use it to wash my clothes and ourselves. Umm this is a thought??

How did ssimmons30 come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
After reading about all the pesticides that are on our foods hearing about all the recalled meat it got me thinking. Then I started keeping up with the whale slaughter from Japan and the dolphin killing and how this is effecting our eco symstem it made me realize that the conveniences I am used to is destroying the earth and our health.
