I have a passion for art, design, creativity and the environment and a pioneering spirit! Through Pure Design I am constantly meeting individuals who share these passions, and I'm having the time of my life! :) I established Pure Design (an online eco design boutique) in 2007, and as well as selling work by talented eco-designers through our online boutique, we help promote artists and introduce them into the mainstream retail market. I don't think eco design should be the preserve of the few - I want to encourage more people to enjoy and engage with the work of these talented designers, and hope to achieve this through Pure Design.

Journey Into Green:
How did Elaine@PureDesign come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
I have always had an interest in the environment and animals; David Attenborough was my idol from an early age! Having been fortunate to have attended an amazing international school when I was younger (UWC S.E.A.) we were encouraged to take a really active interest in our environment and people around us and to do something about issues that concerned us. Being exposed to such an international environment growing up you learn about other people's cultures and begin to feel more like a global citizen than being British, i.e. what we do in the UK does impact on individuals and environments the other side of the planet; and so I feel we all have a collective responsibility for things happening around the world. Pure Design is my way of trying to promote eco concious values to new audiences, whilst celebrating the creativity and diversity of individuals.
