About tstone@tastonearchitect.com:
tstone@tastonearchitect.com's interests, passions, hobbies and favorite activities, etc.
Our office is located in the Elysian Valley neighborhood of Los Angeles, and our proximity to the LA River has made me passionate about 'greening' Los Angeles. I can't help but believe that our urban centers offer great opportunities for the future of the planet. If we can find ways to process our own wastes, to produce our own food and energy, and to recycle water all at the local level (within the urban environment) we are well on our way to a truly sustainable future.

Journey Into Green:
How did tstone@tastonearchitect.com come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
I went to architecture school in the early '80s after having gone through the gas crisis of the 1970s. I was definitely aware that our resources are limited, (including the capacity of the earth to absorb our waste products), so I specialized in 'solar architecture' (the term Sustainable Design had not yet been invented!). I am so happy to see growing interest in sustainability, and very gratified to find renewed demand for energy-efficient and intelligent homes.
