scouzo's interests, passions, hobbies and favorite activities, etc.
I graduated from Stetson University in 2008 with a BA in English and a minor in Music Performance. Since then I have been trying out many different areas of work to find where I feel I belong. Currently, I am working on an "Around the House" craft website made specially for kids. The point of the site is for a child to be able to sit down and make a craft without needing an adult's assistance. PLUS- this website is giving children the opportunity to recycle their recyclables! I'm the web content manager, so I provide all of the content as well as put it up on the web. I work with a video production specialist on making awesome video clips of each crafts step as well as still images, so there is NO confusion for the child as to what they need to be doing. I really enjoy anything that is hand's on. I work part-time at a paint-your-own pottery studio glazing, firing and instructing customers on painting techniques.

How did scouzo come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
Forever I will hear my dad in the back of my mind begging my brothers and I to turn off the lights, switch off the fan, close the door, etc. He instilled a very natural sense of awareness of my environment and I took that and ran. In college I participated in an Environmental Responsibility Council and wrote an environmental column for the university's newspaper. My senior research was exploring how my favorite author, John Steinbeck, was truly a naturalist and appreciated and hoped to protect the natural landscapes he gushed about in his books.
