About vmaxey:
vmaxey's interests, passions, hobbies and favorite activities, etc.
I'm currently a college student working for the man, learning that not all is what it seems. When I'm not working and/or trying to study, you can find me behind my recently borrowed (aka stolen from my dad) Canon 5D, taking pictures of whatever I can. I also enjoy reading non-school related books, crafting, sewing, playing disc golf with my dog, and SCUBA diving. These are just a few pieces of the puzzle, but they're the fun pieces.

Journey Into Green:
How did vmaxey come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
I'm deeply concerned about many things, most of which involves the environment. This being so new to me, though, I'm still feeling my way around and trying to figure my role out. I live in what can be a considered a decidedly backwards area of the country, but am doing my best. It really all began with a question of vegetarianism and if it was right for me, for completely selfish reasons. I started reading, one thing led to another led to another, and suddenly, my eyes are opening to the horrific practices of industrialized farming and agriculture. Then it trickled into other parts of my life. I'm taking it day by day, making mistakes along the way, but trying to learn from them, too.
