The Everyday Green: Brangelina's Break Up Goes Green!

So the rumors have been swirling all week. Something may have happened, something so huge, so influential, that the basis of our culture may be shaken to the core for years to come. (Is it the State of the Union address? Do you really think I’m going there?) Everyone, keep moving right towards that ledge – because Brangelina might be breaking up!

And while the Brangelina break-up rumors have ranged from levels of “impending world-wide shrieking and rending of clothes” to “move along, nothing to see, move along,” one thing remains steadfast and true. Brangelina is not only one of the prettiest couples on the planet, they also possess other shared attributes. Should they break up, (and somewhere, someone screams,) Brangelina will be able to duke it out over one essential issue. Not who is more beautiful, or rich, or in possession of the worst beard known to man. (Points, Angelina!)
The real question will be – who is greener?

BRAD’S GREEN DEEDS
Brad is well-known for his efforts to rebuild a green New Orleans with his Make It Right Foundation. Green Brad initially pledged $5 million of his own funds for the $22.5 million project to build eco-friendly homes in New Orleans. Presently, six houses have been completed. He also teamed up with beauty company Kiehl's to raise money for JPF Eco Systems, an environmental charity he created. Careful, Angelina, Brad is definite dark shade of green!

ANGELINA’S GREEN DEEDS
Angie, also known as Super Mom of 6, is committed to keeping herself and her beautiful children as organic as possible. The Renewable Plants reports on Jolie’s longtime position as a Goodwill Ambassador for the U.N. Refugee Agency, which assists around 20 million refugees in over 100 countries. She has been named the first UNCA Citizen of the World by the U.N. Correspondents Association and the Global Humanitarian Action Award from the U.N. Association of the USA and the Business Council for the United Nations. Sure, her actions may not be specifically eco-friendly, but they sure are altruistic. Look out Brad, your green queen is mighty and great.

And because an article about Brangelina inexplicably never complete without mentioning first wife Jennifer Aniston, who is probably at this moment relaxing with a dry martini under framed articles of Brangelina break-up rumors….

JENNIFER’S GREEN DEEDS
Jen supports bottled water with her paid endorsement of the product, mostly given while nude or wearing a busty dress. But we all know bottled water has grave consequences on our health and the environment.  Team Angelina on this one, Jen. Team Angelina.

In the end, who has the lesser carbon footprint? Is it Brad of the Green Buildings, or Mother Earth Angelina? Or are we totally off-base here and ignoring the fact that the couple contributes to global warming with their dueling levels of hotness? I believe this case stands at a close draw. And should this power couple break up, our green hearts will just have to go on.
