California Native with Global Perspective and Organic Inspiration. Co-Founder of Hoot & Heart Co. Modern and Old World Flowers + Found Objects (mouthful) with my sister Laura (she's the younger one) At our boutique on Montana Avenue and your garden workshop in Ventura County (that sits on a ranch that was once a fancy carnation farm and now grows lemons) we fashion Luxury Botanicals. With a local, sustainable, and organic outlook we pick from our 6 family gardens (organic of course) and our friendly posse of local farmers. For treats such as peonies we work with growers up the coast. And as an alternative to ribbons from the far east we work with families that have owned their ribbon factories (we think that 19th century factories that are still around and actually doing the same thing they did back 150 years ago are a testament to sustainability and true American luxury) to wrap our handmade flowers, botanicals, rare plants, etc. We believe in the return of the small family run American Luxury Brand. Maybe you make jam, maybe you make paper, maybe you make sweets, you do it with passion, quality control, sweat, blood, and tears. It's about the process and the product, not bottom line benefits to the detriment of our people and planet.
