I am currently a stay at home mom.I have 2 girls who are also interested in learning about a healthier lifestyle. I really like gardening and crafts. I like to relax at home and enjoy watching my garden grow. This year we will have zucchini, corn, beans and tomatos. Next year? I don't know yet, but I know there will be more.

Journey Into Green:
How did aheron01 come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
I started watching the IFC Channel and became very interested in participating rather than just waiting for 'someone' to do it for me. I think i't very important that we take yet another look into community farming projects, and businesses that support the communities rapidly changing needs. I made a list of different things that we need our Governer approve so we can make some other changes to tha way we live our lives. insome old black and white movies, every house in the neighborhood grew some or most of what they consumed. I think this is an idea that is slowly coming back in style..., Anyway, my list is kind long.

I like to buy books that I think I will read, but magazines like Oxygen, Fitness RX, AD, coastal living really grab me. I am currently planning a landscape design for my home that will require little or no water. Most of my free time now is looking for ideas, and finding native and plants flowers I can use. Currently I am not familiar with local organizations or groups, I would really like to start a small one some day. I think all information about becoming more environmentally concious, is important. Who else would know more about what works here and waht doesn't than the people who are doing it now and the local businesses can do to help... Sorry, I really should write this all down an mail it to some of those businesses.
