If you're anything like me, your laptop is precious cargo. But why tote it in a plain black bag like everyone else? Get a little style and be good to the planet with laptop bags made from recycled materials. If you want to go green, without making your very own laptop bag from stuff around the house, there are quite a few to choose from. These are the most stylish I've found on the Web.

The Freitag Laptop Bags are made from recycled truck tarpaulins, with consideration of design and placement of aesthetic elements. The Swiss company uses a variety of materials in their designs aside from the tarpaulins, including used air bags, inner tubes, and more.

The Yous Get Recycled 'Funky Laptop' bags are made from recycled billboards canvases (as do the Vy and Elle bags below) and have a focus on fun and funky patterns and designs.

Timbuktu's Blogger Bag is made from 67% natural Hemp fibers and 33% PET from recycled plastic bottles and has a double padded, waterproof, rubberized bottom. The company also makes a briefcase-looking hemp laptop bag if you need something a bit more low-profile.

If you want a little extra padding inside your laptop bag, this laptop protector is made from jute, a naturally and has a recycled terry-cloth interior. "Proceeds help women's groups in India support their families and improve their communities."

You'd never guess that this cool looking bag is made from recycled bicycle tires, but it is!
Vy and Elle's laptop bag is made from recycled vinyl billboards. "Vinyl billboards are used nationwide as temporary banner advertisements and are usually discarded into landfills where they create toxic pollution. However, the strength of PVC vinyl makes it an ideal material for reuse." Thanks to this unique material, no two bags are the same, so you're sure to have a unique carrier.
