About bridges2hlth:
bridges2hlth's interests, passions, hobbies and favorite activities, etc.
I am retired Registered Nurse and Board Certified Traditional Naturopath with over 30 years experience. My passion has always been to help others become self-advocates and better educated consumers of health. This can be achieved by eating foods as close to nature as possible, for example: eating fresh fruits and vegetables, and buying meat, poultry, and fish free from pesticides, hormones, and other chemicals. I am an author of three published books: Memories of my Sister: Dealing with Sudden Death; Take Control: A Guide to Holistic Living; and Medical Terminology: A Student Workbook. In January 2010 my 89-year-old father came to live with us. Please visit my other Blog, entitled, Taking Care of Dad http://mydadnathan. blogspot.com/ It is an enlightening, insightful, and enjoyable look into the primary caregiver experience of aging parents.

Journey Into Green:
How did bridges2hlth come to be involved in Earth-conscious living?
My journey started early on during my first year in college - I was diagnosed with a serious illness and found the health benefits of juicing. For years I maintained my own garden - freezing excess for winter consumption. Today I still juice and have shared the health benefits of living a natural life with my teenage children. We recyle and have not used common household cleaners for years. Our family is part of a community garden coop of which my elderly father actively participates.
